New Technician

Please join us in welcoming Jason. He holds Mercury Marine certifications for both Mercury Outboard and Mercruiser products. He also holds certificates in Corrosion and Propeller Principles, Verado, Smartcraft and Optimax trouble shooting, among others.

With almost fourteen years experience in the marine industry, Jason has worked on a diversified line of outboard motors—including Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Force, OMC, and Honda. He has also completed Technician Programs with emphasis on four-stroke engine operation, systems trouble-shooting and repair. He is both thorough and precise.

Jason loves high-performance boating and custom rigging, as well as rigging optional systems and electronics.

He has an eye for design and is able to repair boat’s multiple auxiliary systems, perform engine and drive unit rebuilds and can handle sea trials to diagnose or verify required repairs. We are extremely excited to have him join the team at Steadfast Marine, Inc.

Now more than ever before we are committed to continue providing quality service for all customers.

This past year we ventured into fabricating custom pieces for complete refit on deck— from hatches to center console doors and electronics section.

This has allowed greater creativity and caused us to become even more relevant as front runners in the areas of boat repairs and refurbishing.

We work on various boat sizes – both power boats (large, medium sized and small) and sailboats.

Bruce has always been an avid sailor and knows the importance of having a sleek bottom finish to enhance speed on the water.

If you’re looking for a premium racing bottom finish he’s the one you want to see.

Great Peconic Bay Marina

Last month, Bruce and one of our Prep Specialists traveled to Great Peconic Bay Marina in Long Island New York to paint a Viking 52. Wonderful Marina and great people – well worth the long drive with van and equipment in tow.

If you’re a boater in New York, the Riverhead, South Jamesport, Mattituck, Peconic Bay and other surrounding oceanfront areas are a great place to visit for boat care and storage.

Stop by Lenny’s Pizza & Pasta in Jamesport. Good pizza!

Monthly Tip: Removing Stains from Boat Bottoms

Vessels 35 feet or Smaller –

To remove brown stains from white boat bottom use On-Off, preferably diluted with water (1 qt to 2 gallons of water). Apply to bottom by scrubbing with a soft scrub broom with handle and then rinse.

For quicker removal On-Off can be used undiluted, but you MUST WEAR GLOVES and GOGGLES.

It can also be used to remove barnacles.
